Canada invites candidates in General Express Entry Draw

On December 6, 2023, Canada’s Express Entry system saw its first draw since late October, marking a significant moment for candidates eagerly awaiting their chance at permanent residency.

After a brief hiatus, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has resumed its Express Entry draws. The most recent one on December 6th released a new set of results. IRCC has issued 4,750 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates across various programs, with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) requirement of 561 points. This all-program draw welcomed a diverse pool of candidates, reflecting Canada’s commitment to strengthening its workforce and community with skilled individuals.

 First “General” Express Entry Draw

Express Entry draw #272 issued 4,750 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) of 561. There was no program specified for this draw, meaning that invitations to apply may be issued to candidates from the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP),Canadian Experience Class(CEC), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and Provincial Nominee Program.
